Our Services

CARE Initiative currently offers two delivery options. Customers can either order online and pre-pay through their preferred store’s website, or request a personal shopper service. We NEVER charge an extra service fee; all of our services are volunteer-based.

Personal Shopper

  • You can also receive deliveries through our personal shopper service, where we assign one of our volunteers to pick up your grocery list, buy the items at your requested time, and deliver all in one day! 

    1. Email us at carei2020.customerservice@gmail.com. Include the following information: your name, preferred store and address, delivery address, preferred time of delivery, and any special instructions you have for us. 

      • Provide us with your grocery list in one of the following ways: 

        • Handwrite it and place it in a sealed envelope or Ziploc along with cash payment

        • Email it to us at carei2020.customerservice@gmail.com along with your order request.

        • Fill up the request form on our website

      • Prepare an envelope or Ziploc bag with a cash payment for the groceries. Shortly before your driver arrives, place it in a safe place that your driver will have access to. 

    2. We will assign you a delivery driver who will first come by to pick up the envelope. You will also be asked to sign a form verifying the amount of money provided before your driver leaves. (Note: our drivers will be maintaining social distancing throughout this exchange.) 

    3. After purchasing your items, your driver will drop off your order along with any leftover change. 

      • Please note: you may be contacted by your shopper via phone call or text message while he/she is in the store if you have requested an item that is not in stock

    4. You will be asked to sign a second form verifying that you have received your delivery

Ordering Online

  • If you have Internet access, you can choose to place your order using the website of your preferred store. 

    1. Go to the website of your preferred store and select ordering online. Choose the items you want and add them to your cart.

    2. Before checking out, be sure to specify in the “Special Instructions” section that you will be having a “CARE Initiative Volunteer” picking up your groceries. In the checkout phase select the “pick up in-store” option. 

    3. Once the order has been placed, send us an email at carei2020.customerservice@gmail.com with the following information: name, delivery address, preferred time and date for delivery, address of the store, and special instructions for the delivery person. 

  • We will assign you a delivery driver and let you know when he or she is on the way!



Disclaimer: we cannot deliver alcohol, restricted prescriptions, or items from Costco.
